Hospitality Supervisor – Environmental Services – 2nd Shift
SMH Venice is seeking a motivated and dedicated Supervisor of Environmental Services to oversee and ensure the efficient operation of the Environmental Services team throughout our facility. This critical role is responsible for leading a team of Environmental Aides and Environmental Techs, ensuring that services are provided in a timely, safe, and professional manner to meet the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily operations of the Environmental Services team, ensuring proper cleanliness and infection control throughout the facility.
- Monitor staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure excellent service quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments, including nursing, patient transport/linen services, and facilities management, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Train and mentor staff in environmental services protocols and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to environmental services.
- Handle scheduling, staffing needs, and any service issues related to environmental services.
- Address patient and staff concerns or complaints related to environmental services and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure that equipment used in environmental services is properly maintained, cleaned, and functional.
- Associate degree; relevant experience in Hospitality Services (Hotel/Restaurant management, Environmental Service supervision) in a large healthcare setting can be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of five (5) years related Hospitality/Customer Service experience, preferably in a large healthcare setting.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a demanding environment with responsibility for multi-skilled positions.
- Capability to direct, control, and coordinate activities of assigned personnel.
