COMPANY OVERVIEW: Turbine Weld Industries MRO provides services to airlines, overhaul facilities, hot section shops, parts distributors, owner/operators, etc. We are a leader in the aerospace and manufacturing industry, known for our commitment to quality and precision. Based in Venice, Florida, we specialize in the repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6, PW100, and JT15D hot section components.

SUMMARY: The Thermal Barrier Coatings Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks such as part masking. This role applies specialized coatings to aircraft components exposed to high temperatures, crucial for the performance and longevity of these parts.

• A Shift consists of 5-8 hour days, Monday through Friday.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve company goals.
• Surface preparation: cleaning and preparing components for coating, including blasting or other methods.
• Masking: protecting specific areas of components from coating using masks, fixtures, or other materials.
• Applying thermal barrier coatings with specialized equipment such as manual, semi-automatic, or robotic spray systems.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment used in coating processes.
• Following work instructions and contributing to process improvements.
• Adhering to safety procedures, especially when handling chemicals.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of relevant/technical work experience
• Ability to maintain an orderly, productive work environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
• Ability to read and interpret CMMs
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of aviation maintenance experience

• Background check and drug testing required for the selected applicant.
