As a newly graduated Registered Nurse
, you will provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA’s Standards of Professional Practice.

We are accepting applications for 2026 Nurse Residency Cohorts. The program will include inpatient units such as General Medical Surgical / Oncology.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within the specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• BLS:
  Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
• FL RN:
  Florida Registered Nurse License.
• Preferred: ACLS:
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
