Dental Assistant FT

Lifelong Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team in Lara, VIC. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of our dental healthcare team, providing essential support to our dentists and dental hygienists whilst delivering outstanding patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently, whilst contributing to a positive patient experience from the moment clients walk through our doors.

What you'll be doing
Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning and providing chairside support
Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising dental instruments and maintaining equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Greeting patients and managing patient check-in and check-out processes
Recording patient information and assisting with maintaining accurate dental records
Providing patients with post-treatment care instructions and scheduling follow-up appointments
Assisting with administrative tasks such as appointment management, treatment plan assistance
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming clinical environment
Supporting the dental team to ensure efficient daily operations and positive patient interactions
What we're looking for
Qualification as a Dental Assistant or completion of an accredited dental assisting course
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with dental practice management software and basic computer skills
A commitment to patient care and maintaining a patient-centred approach
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively with dental professionals
Physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing for extended periods and manual dexterity
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a dental practice or clinical environment
