Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate willhave a vast knowledge and experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment and have a passion for culinary arts. They will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their skills in a professional environment.
The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for exceptional cuisine and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes.
- Oversee the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling.
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment to the head chef.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and high standards of presentation.
- To work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficiency & that all food is prepared & presented to the highest standards.
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.
- Experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques across various cuisines is desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures, is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning in the hospitality industry.
- Self motivated
- Able to work evenings & weekends
- Own transport and the ability to commute is essential for this position
