The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to grow their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and monthly accruals
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules
• Support accounts payable and receivable processing
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules as required
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and support to external auditors
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
• Manage and collect outstanding customer payments to ensure timely invoice payments and healthy cash flow for the company.
• Set up and maintain vendor files, reconciling statements, and addressing inquiries.
• Comfortable coding vendor invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, SAP)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
