A growing Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician to support installation, commissioning, and system start-up throughout Ventura County and the surrounding coastal region. The BAS Controls Technician will work on new construction and renovation projects
, performing installation, device terminations, equipment start-up, and system commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, electricians, HVAC teams, and commissioning agents to ensure that all controls components are installed correctly and function as intended.

• Install BAS/DDC components including controllers, sensors, actuators, VAV devices, and network hardware
• Terminate low-voltage control wiring and verify field connections
• Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and equipment start-up
• Load and adjust control programs under guidance from senior programmers
• Create or modify system graphics, trends, and user-interface elements
• Support integration using BACnet, Modbus, or Lon Works protocols
• Document field conditions, changes, and commissioning results
• Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and end users

• Experience in BAS/DDC installation, commissioning, or HVAC controls work
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, HVAC fundamentals, and control sequences
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment submittals
• Comfortable working on construction sites and in active mechanical areas
• Solid troubleshooting abilities for field wiring and device-level issues
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean MVR

• Exposure to platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Siemens, Alerton, or Johnson Controls
• Experience commissioning VAV systems, AHUs, heat pumps, and RTUs
• Background in retrofits or energy upgrade projects
• Familiarity with Title 24 requirements (not required, but beneficial)
