Resort Plumber

The Basin Harbor property comprises 120 buildings with every conceivable plumbing system, starting with our water supply and ending with our wastewater treatment facility. This is an unique position and requires not only plumbing skills, but also an attitude to get things done.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Installs and maintains pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances and fixtures
• Performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
• Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe
• Cuts and threads pipe
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, copper, pvc, pex.
• Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
• Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs,water heaters, and hot water tanks,
• Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers/cartridges in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes and opening clogged drains.

Essential Qualifications and

Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Critical evaluation skills.
• A commitment to ethical practice and legal compliance.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Related Experience and a willingness to do just about anything
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a tram
• Resourcefulness and “outside-the-box” thinking
• Pride of workmanship
• Have the stamina to work up to 10+ hours: sitting, standing and walking.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 25lbs, reach overhead and perform repetitive motion.
• May involve walking between venues and climbing stairs between floors.
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
