Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Kingston of Vermilion, OH

Kingston of Vermilion is seeking a caring and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you’ll help residents improve daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life in a collaborative, resident-centered environment in Vermilion, Ohio.

What You’ll Do as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

• Provide therapy services as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with exercises, self-care training, and adaptive equipment use
• Monitor and document resident progress, reporting updates to the OT
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safety techniques, and ongoing care
• Create a positive, supportive therapy environment that encourages resident participation
• Ensure therapy services follow Ohio state regulations and Kingston’s standards of care

What You’ll Need

• Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license required
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, resident-first mindset with a focus on quality outcomes
• Ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
