- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a high school graduate
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Trustworthy and responsible
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn and follow client care instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous caregiving, home health, CNA, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
Depending on the client's needs and care plan, responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene
- Helping with mobility and transfers
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Providing medication reminders as directed
- Accompanying clients to appointments or activities when needed
- Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition
- Providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable care
You don't need years of experience to be a great caregiver.
