Instructor or Lecturer (Residency) of Teacher Education
Position:
Instructor or Lecturer (Residency) of Teacher Education at the University of South Dakota, School of Education. This is a 10‑month non‑tenure track appointment.
- Teach courses in the teacher residency program (e.g., classroom management, professional ethics, student teaching seminar, educational assessment, etc.).
- Supervise teacher candidates completing residency in PK‑12 schools in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities.
- Participate in summer teaching for additional compensation, as assigned.
- Contribute to teaching and service activities in the division of Teacher Residency & Education.
Applicants should have a strong professional and academic background in teacher education that complements the strengths of the faculty and meets the needs of students in the Division of Teacher Residency & Education. Experience in PK‑12 classroom teaching and/or teacher preparation is desirable.
Salary/CompensationSalary is commensurate with qualifications. The starting salary is $50,000 plus benefits. This position is a 10‑month appointment with the possibility of summer employment for additional compensation.
