Instructor Nursing QE

The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota (USD) is seeking applications for a 9-month full-time nursing faculty member at the Vermillion campus. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of future nurses in a supportive and dynamic academic environment.

Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials. The faculty member will be responsible for providing classroom and clinical instruction, planning, implementing, and evaluating student learning, working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to service activities within the department.

• Classroom and clinical teaching
• Evaluation of student learning
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Contribution to departmental service activities
• Ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning

• Current unencumbered nursing license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota
• Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program prior to starting the position

• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate or higher degree program
• Recent clinical practice
• Nursing background in community health/population health
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills
