Responsibilities
  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates during store tours and providing feedback.
  • Conducts Tours-to-Teach, collaborating with all levels of associates on store operations, technology, merchandising, and business initiatives.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate objectives effectively.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer‑service standards following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer‑service initiatives.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a sense of belonging.
  • Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs and building accountability for results.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and values, supporting Walmart’s mission and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Builds high‑performing teams, embraces diversity, creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
  • Attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes contributions and accomplishments.
  • Acts with integrity, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance, supporting a culture of sustainability and positive impact.
  • Delivers results while putting the customer first, applying the EDLP and EDLC business models, and making data‑driven decisions that balance short‑ and long‑term priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and meet state requirements: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Required to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring and firing responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage range: $31.25 – $38.46/hr (actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location).

  • Additional compensation may include performance bonuses, annual or quarterly.
