A well-established CPA firm based in Long Island is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) offers the flexibility to work from either their Jericho or NYC office and provides the opportunity to support a diverse client base including high-net-worth individuals, sports and entertainment businesses, and fast-growing start-ups. The firm maintains a steady 40-hour workweek year-round, even during tax season, and is proud to remain independent with no plans for acquisition or merger.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client accounts, including accrual and cash basis bookkeeping.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll using third‑party systems and AMS Payroll software.
• Set up and manage Quick Books accounts, including creating and maintaining the Chart of Accounts.
• Generate and analyze key financial reports, such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Prepare, review, and file W‑2s, W‑3s, and 1099s for clients.
• Assist with year‑end closings and write‑ups.
• Prepare sales tax work papers and process payments through state portals.

• 5 years of recent and relevant Accounting/Bookkeeping experience in the U.S.
• CPA firm experience required.
• Comfortable working in an environment with competing demands.
• Advanced proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online, as well as Payroll processing.
