Overview
We are looking for an orthopaedic surgeon who can provide complete care, especially for hand or foot and ankle surgeries. You will work in a clinic that is part of a hospital. Your job will be to treat different muscle and bone problems and send complicated cases to a larger hospital if needed. You will see about 25 or more patients each day.
You will also join a call rotation where you will take calls for general orthopaedics about once every four weeks. (A Physician Assistant will cover the first calls from Monday to Thursday, and you will provide help when necessary.) - Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care with emphasis on hand or foot and ankle surgeries.
- Treat muscle and bone problems in a clinic connected to a hospital and refer complex cases to a larger hospital as needed.
- See 25 or more patients per day.
- Participate in an orthopaedic call rotation approximately once every four weeks; a Physician Assistant covers the first calls Mon–Thu, with you providing assistance as needed.
- Enjoy dedicated time in the operating room and opportunities for career growth.
- You must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery. (If you are board eligible, please include your graduation date.)
- You must have a clean history with no malpractice claims.
- You need to have CPR certification (must be obtained before starting) - no exceptions.
- You must have a DEA registration (must be obtained before starting) - no exceptions.
- BLS certification (must be obtained before starting) - no exceptions.
- You must have an active Vermont medical license (must be obtained before starting) - no exceptions. It is preferred that you have a special certificate for Hand Surgery or Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Vermont - Additional License Requirements:
American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) - – Board Certified or Board Eligible. A special certificate in Hand or Foot and Ankle Surgery is preferred. You must have a DEA license for Vermont and a clean malpractice history.
