Chief Medical Officer Opportunity in Springfield, VT

  • Full-time executive leadership role in a mission-driven outpatient care setting
  • Lead clinical strategy, quality initiatives, and provider engagement across multiple care disciplines
  • Includes protected administrative time with approximately 16 hours per week of patient-facing care
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical services, including medical, behavioral health, dental, and vision care
  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered services and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Serve as part of the executive leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives
  • Drive quality improvement and patient safety through audits, provider training, and performance monitoring
  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff while fostering a collaborative, learning-focused culture
  • Represent the organization in professional and community settings and advocate for public health priorities
  • Maintain open communication channels and support integrated care delivery across disciplines
Requirements
  • MD or DO with board certification (preferably in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine & Pediatrics)
  • Active or eligible for licensure in both Vermont and New Hampshire
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity
  • Experience working in FQHC or community health setting preferred
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, change management, and regulatory compliance
