A recent recipient of an NSF E-CORE grant, the School for Neurodiversity Research and Innovation at Landmark College seeks a talented, self-motivated Research Scholar (similar to a post-doctoral researcher) with a background in STEM (including psychology, computer science, economics, and STEM education) to join the growing team of the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training (I-CIRT). The Research Scholar will pursue research in their STEM discipline as related to the teaching and learning of neurodivergent individuals (i.e., learning disabilities, ADHD, and/or autism) in education, workplace, social, or other settings.
This unique position offers the opportunity to develop a line of research in their discipline while also receiving advanced training in the education of neurodivergent college students, opportunities to design and deliver courses in their discipline to neurodivergent students, and develop and deliver research training for students, faculty and staff.
This opportunity will advance the career of an early-career researcher by providing opportunities to (a) build a unique line of research in their field, (b) expand their credentials and pedagogical skills in the area of accessible education for neurodivergent students, and (c) work and collaborate with leading faculty and researchers in post-secondary education and neurodiversity. Strong applicants will:
- Demonstrate mastery of their discipline,
- Possess expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, data management, and analysis,
- Have a strong publication record,
Prior work or demonstrated interest in researching, teaching, or serving neurodivergent/disabled people is of particular interest as is experience pursuing grants.
Terms of Agreement:
This three-year Research Scholar position has an anticipated start date of February 1, 2026 (negotiable) with a minimum 12-month annual salary range of $70,000. Research Scholars will also receive an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans; a generous vacation and time off package (four weeks' vacation; 15 health related days; typically, 16 paid holidays); a TIAA retirement plan that includes 6% College contribution;
and more. This position may be continued pending satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a STEM field (including psychology, computer science, economics, and STEM education) or a letter from their dissertation chair confirming the timeline for completion of the Ph.D. and filing by January 1, 2026.
