Job DescriptionThe Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking an Instructional Assistant (IA) assigned to the Concord School. The candidate will be energetic, loves working, playing and interacting with students aged 5-14. The IA will provide care and support to children for growth and learning of academic, social, emotional and behavioral skills. Ideal candidates will have experience serving children with special learning needs or who need support acquiring independent educational skills.
The role requires strong teaming skills, flexibility, and a willingness to assist in developing a classroom environment that builds strong connections and relationships with children.
The IA will work closely with classroom teachers and/or special education case managers, under the direction of the school administrator and the Director of Student Services, supporting specialized instruction and other supports for students as assigned. Candidates must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment and hold an associate degree or higher. Background check, including fingerprinting, is required upon employment.
The pay range for this position is $17.21/hr - $23.57/hr.
Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, operating seven pre‑K to 8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. High school students may choose to attend traditional independent schools or another high school of their choosing.
The region is known for breathtaking views and access to skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor opportunities. It is close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains, and nearby communities offer fine arts venues.
