Part Time Faculty - CSL Curriculum and Design classroom management

Overview

Part Time Faculty position to teach CSL 6030 Curriculum Design and Classroom Management. This is a synchronous week-long intensive course held July 21–25, 2025, 8:00 am–4:00 pm.

• Course: CSL 6030 Curriculum Design and Classroom Management.
• Format:
  Synchronous week-long intensive course; flexible teaching modalities (hybrid, online, and/or in-person) as needed.
• Location:
  
  Vermont State University Johnson Campus, Johnson, VT.

• Prepare and deliver a developmental curriculum that supports Universal Design for Learning and Understanding by Design practices, using standards-based instructional approaches.
• Engage students through interactive activities, small groups, individual workshops, reflections, class discussions, and the use of technology.
• Guide students to deliver a developmentally appropriate school counseling curriculum aligned with ASCA domains (social/emotional, academic, and career; mindsets and behaviors).

• Masters degree in counseling, with a school counseling or related discipline.
• Graduate-level teaching experience (preferred) or related training/professional development experience in mental health, school counseling, policy and advocacy, or related field (preferred).
• Training/professional development experience (preferred).
• Knowledge and experience with Vermont School Counselor Association and American School Counselor Association.
• Knowledge and experience with the Vermont Licensure Portfolio School Counseling Standards and VT Agency of Education.
• Flexibility in teaching modalities (hybrid, online, and/or in-person as needed).
