Location: Hyde Park
Role: Long-Term Substitute Teacher supporting children and young adults with behavioral and learning challenges in a specialized education setting.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured, engaging lessons aligned with assigned curriculum and individual student learning plans.
- Adapt instruction and implement accommodations for diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, supportive classroom and apply positive behavior strategies.
- Monitor student progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate relevant updates with school teams and families.
- Collaborate with educators and interdisciplinary professionals in a compassionate, inclusive environment.
- Teaching license or substitute permit as required by state or district.
- Strong classroom management and ability to work with students with behavioral and learning needs.
- Ability to implement evidence-based supports and accommodations effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
