We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations. This hands-on position requires a desire and ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative. The successful candidate will be an integral part of Manus' operations team located in Augusta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor processes daily, troubleshoot process, yield, quality, and equipment reliability issues.
  • Develop and maintain plant material balances, capacity evaluations, and yield reports, including KPIs.
  • Scale up R&D equipment and processes to improve yields and cycle times.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and manufacturing groups for process requirements.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and quality standards, and design enhancements for existing equipment and new products.
  • Identify and implement process capacity and efficiency improvements, leading technical teams as needed.
  • Coordinate plant trials, including detailed material balances and quality assessments.
  • Monitor equipment performance and production issues, supporting resolution efforts.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare Corrective Action Reports for technical issues.
  • Support and lead area capital projects, including scope, cost, and start-up activities.
  • Act as equipment or technology owner, supporting operations and training operators.
  • Maintain Process Safety Management responsibilities, including hazard analysis and change management.
  • Participate in safety and quality initiatives, incident analysis, and team leadership.
  • Coordinate activities within Site Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical plant environment.
  • Knowledge of piping, valves, and process control.
  • Experience with engineering flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and capacity analysis.
  • Understanding of analytical techniques (GC) and fermentation bioprocesses is desirable.
  • Experience in food or pharma industries preferred.
