Transportation

Planner I or II

Salary Range: $65,000–$85,000

Responsibilities:
The Transportation Planner supports NMCOG’s transportation planning work and the Northern Middlesex Metropolitan Planning Organization (NMMPO). This position focuses on transportation planning, data analysis, regional coordination, and advancing projects related to safety, active transportation, transit, and roadway improvements. The level (Planner I or II) will be determined based on experience.

Regional Planner

Salary Range: $55,000–$75,000

Responsibilities:
The Regional Planner works directly with municipalities on a wide range of local and regional planning initiatives, including housing, land use, transportation, sustainability, and economic development. This role involves research and data analysis, drafting plans and policies, supporting community engagement, and helping translate community goals into actionable strategies.
