Senior Appian Consultant​/Technical Lead

Groundswell is looking for experienced Senior Appian Consultants to provide integrated architecture support for delivery teams and act as trusted advisors to clients. You will help scale the business by guiding solution delivery and designing/integrating Appian solutions into client architectures. Architects mentor delivery teams on best practices for advanced technical solutions and platform design, and you will help implement internal processes and tools to improve efficiency.

You’ll be working with an Appian practice led by Appian alumni with decades of experience delivering mission-critical Appian solutions, leveraging our award-winning solutions, component libraries, and foundations. You will team with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.

• Lead implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and related technologies
• Support design, development, and testing activities
• Guide clients on architecture design, configuration management, Dev Sec Ops , and other program initiatives to drive technical success
• Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance
• Create and document implementation best practices and internal knowledge base articles
• Provide thought leadership on process improvement
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools
• Mentorship, training, and enablement of resources

• 3+ years of experience with Appian solutions
• 5+ years of related IT experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area
• Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification
• Strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology
• Strong technical design and implementation and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex concepts, both verbally and written; active listening; analytical and strategic foresight
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a high-paced environment, multitask, and work independently or in a team
• Hybrid position (on-site McLean VA / remote)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship)
• Active Clearance or must be clearable

• Experience working with Appian
• RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/Maria

• Web services, Integrations and Middleware (RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion)

• Cloud Computing/IaaS (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Authentication (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP)

• Dev Sec Ops  and/or Configuration Management
• Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
