About the role

The Project Manager will manage specific work streams supporting DOT’s modernization and maintenance of its enterprise web platform, overseeing day-to-day delivery of assigned task orders. This role is responsible for task-level planning, coordination, and execution across activities such as website redesign, operations and maintenance, accessibility compliance, content strategy, and user support. The Project Manager will ensure alignment with DOT’s technical and performance objectives and support Agile delivery teams to meet cost, schedule, and quality standards.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $125,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities
  • Manage the execution of assigned DOT task orders, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to technical and quality requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the DOT Task Order COR (TOCOR), coordinating daily task activities, deliverables, and communications.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog management, and task tracking in collaboration with developers, analysts, and designers.
  • Maintain project documentation including work plans, risk registers, and issue logs.
  • Monitor task order budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with program-level performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and performance standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG, DOT IT policies).
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and change management activities in collaboration with DOT IT Shared Services and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and present task-level status reports and participate in weekly or bi-weekly program meetings.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process and performance optimization opportunities.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned and qualified/trained to perform.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing task orders or projects under large-scale Federal IT programs.
  • Proven experience managing Agile software or web development efforts, preferably in Drupal.
