Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Shaftsbury, VT, for the CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) Manager. The CSA Manager will oversee the coordination and management of the farm's CSA program (200 members) to provide exceptional service to its members. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining communication with customers, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries, managing memberships, and resolving any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
The CSA manager will compose weekly newsletters and be present for the CSA distributions on the farm and coordinate our off-site location pick ups which are custom, pre-ordered boxes.
On farm distributions happen Friday 3 to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 to 1 pm. The CSA manager will be responsible to CSA set up (which includes facilities cleaning and organizing), vegetable display, inventory of products, farm store set up and maintenance, and interacting with CSA members to ensure the best experience possible!
Qualifications- Strong customer service and customer-focused service skills
- Experience in customer satisfaction management and handling customer inquiries
- Knowledge of vegetables, such as cooking, quality, and a keen interest in learning about the farm and communicating farm information to members.
- Effective communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with customers
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices is highly desirable
- Experience managing CSA programs or similar agricultural experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and partake in moderate physical labor required of CSA set up and facility cleaning.
$23/hour ore more based in past experience.
HoursTuesday to Saturday. Tu, Wed. Thurs 8:00-3:00. Friday 11:00 to 6:30 pm. Saturday 9:00 to 1:30 pm. About 30 hours/week.
Job DurationThe CSA Manager position begins May 2026 and ends December 2026. Part-time work for winter (January through March) possible for the right candidate.
