Maintenance Team Lead-Plastic Injection Molding

Job Overview

Growing company in Vermont that has been in business for over 50 years has a terrific opportunity available for a Lead Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician. This is a day shift position with 8 hour shifts. The Lead Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of molds used in injection molding processes, ensuring they are in optimal condition for production.

• Oversee maintenance and repair of molds used in injection molding processes, ensuring optimal condition for production.
• Lead a team of mold maintenance technicians.
• Troubleshoot mold issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain high‑quality standards and minimize downtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in mold maintenance with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in mold repair, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Certifications such as RJG Master Molder, Lean Six Sigma, or similar preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA and ISO 9001 standards, basic computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office), and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50‑75 lbs, work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
