The role… The R&D laboratory is comprised of four main laboratories; each laboratory provides a unique opportunity for a specialized skill set. The laboratory technician will be primarily focused in one or two areas but is responsible for a basic understanding of all aspects of test that are conducted in the R&D laboratory.
How You’ll Make An Impact…- Assist other technicians as needed and provide cross-functional support.
- Conduct basic statistical analysis of test data.
- Draft clear and concise lab reports.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understand measurement system evaluations and identify sources of error.
- Comply with customer and business requirements, forwarding only known good work.
- Promptly address problems, errors, or defects in products, documentation, procedures, or materials.
- Support continual improvement projects and engage in preventive and corrective actions.
- Halt or change processes not achieving planned results.
- Provide laboratory analysis to support manufacturing, customers, and New Product Development.
- Maintain lab equipment effectively.
- Perform tests per specified standards, providing interpretation and conclusions.
- High school / Trade School Diploma required.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis.
- A working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in laboratory setting: performing tests, evaluating data, and writing reports preferred.
