The American Red Cross, through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, is always there in times of need. all members of our armed services and their families find support and comfort whenever needed; and in an emergency, there are always trained individuals nearby, ready to use their Red Cross skills to save lives.

Volunteer role:
Blood Donor Ambassador (Mad River Valley Area)

Contact:
Your local American Red Cross office. This role involves in-person volunteering at local blood drives as a Blood Donor Ambassador.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience.
• Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and encourage long-term commitment to regular donations.
• Assist donors with re-hydrating after donation and observe for post-donation reactions.
• Express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation.

Qualifications and qualities

• Friendly, helpful, and volunteer-minded with a passion for the Red Cross mission.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow procedures.
• Respectful conduct toward blood donors and drive staff.
• Willingness to contribute to a highly regarded organization and gain hands-on customer service experience.
