Registered Nurse (RN) - CCU at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse – CCU (Critical Care Unit) to provide direct and specialized nursing care to critically ill adult patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and the ability to manage high‑acuity cases with precision and confidence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor, assess, and treat critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
  • Administer complex medications and titrate IV drips in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to life‑threatening situations using advanced interventions such as ACLS.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient condition, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post‑discharge care.
  • Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards to promote a safe environment of care.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience, preferably in CCU, ICU, or related settings.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and emergency response skills.
  • Proficiency in using ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other critical care equipment.
