Certification and License Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred but not mandatory)

Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at Springfield Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg / Tele unit. This fast-paced, high-quality environment offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care across a variety of medical conditions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg / Tele environment, managing a patient load of approximately 1:5.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and other advanced procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and well-being.
• Assist with occasional PCU (Progressive Care Unit) responsibilities on a 3:1 patient ratio, including non-negotiable drip medication administration and charge nurse duties.

What You Bring:

• At least 1 year of recent RN experience in Med Surg or Tele units.
• Proven competency in managing IV drips and complex medication administration.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and work under pressure during night shifts.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN).
• Previous experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience with PCU patient care and managing complex medication regimens.

Additional Details:

• This assignment is scheduled to end on March 22, 2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
• The hourly rate is $429.31, with a taxable weekly pay of $642.42.
• Holiday RTO requests are not available; all scheduling requests are already reserved.
• Holiday multiplier of 1.25% applies; overtime will be compensated at regular rate.
• Travelers must be able to work charge nurse and drip responsibilities.
