As an LNA/Unit Secretary in our Infusion Therapy Department, you'll play a dual role combining hands‑on patient care with essential administrative support. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values patient interaction, and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare infusion rooms and equipment for patient arrival
- Assist patients with personal care needs and safely complete transfers
- Collect vital signs and patient data while delivering care that respects physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as fingerstick glucose checks, thermal applications, and non‑invasive specimen testing
- Manage scheduling, appointment reminders, and medical record preparation
- Transcribe physician orders accurately and maintain organized charts
- Answer phones, direct calls, and coordinate requisitions for services and supplies
- Support daily operations by maintaining stock levels, initiating repairs, and assisting with the orientation of new staff
- High School Diploma and completion of an approved LNA program
- Current Vermont LNA license required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Acute care LNA experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge and computer proficiency strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
