Pay Range: $15.75‑$27.50

Overview

Provides fast, friendly service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the operation of the meat department in the absence of the meat manager. Cuts all meat in accordance with trim "specs" and guidelines and ensures the quality and freshness of product in the meat case to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing excellent customer service (both internally and externally) and courtesy on an on‑going basis.

Must adhere to all sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently work within to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Smile, make eye contact and thank customer upon fulfilling customer’s request.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
  • Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders.
  • Operate meat department in absence of the meat manager.
  • Wrap, weigh, label and display all meat merchandise properly.
  • Adhere to all company meat department standards (i.e., case layout and trim specifications).
  • Follow proper sanitation and temperature guidelines to include corporate and state inspection standards.
  • Maintain grind logs and meat logs consistent with store policy.
  • Receive all meat merchandise (i.e., DSD and warehouse).
  • Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives.
  • Ability to pass a cutting test.
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 6–12 months of related experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Satisfactory performance reviews.

Exposure to Cold Environment:
