Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Position Title:

Carpenter ( $24-$32/hour)

Reports to:

Superintendent

Construct and repair building frameworks and structures made from wood and metal. Installation of millwork carpentry, doors & other specialty items.

• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client needs.
• Construct and install structures and fixtures.
• Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Construct building framework including walls, floors, and door frames; help erect, level, and install building framework with rigging hardware and cranes.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Work on staging / above ground.
• Taping experience is a plus.
• Perform non-carpentry tasks as needed (cleaning, demolition, floor prep, etc.).
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
• Work safely in an OSHA‑approved manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance.
• Communicate and collaborate clearly with the team.

• Minimum 2 years of commercial carpentry.
• Experience with metal and wood framing.
• Drywall, millwork and casework, doors, frames, and hardware installation.
• Must be able to travel to assigned job sites.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
• Proficient reading blueprints or ability to learn.
• Minimum tools: tape measure, hammer, utility knife, tool belt, speed square, chalk line, torpedo level, driver index.
• Strong organization, time‑management, and multi–tasking skills.
• Experience with computers and technology a plus.
• OSHA 10 training preferred, but will be provided.

• Working hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; arrive early and be ready to work through the end of shift.
• Overtime may be offered to stay on schedule.
• Travel to assigned job sites as required.

The role requires frequent lifting of over 40 lbs., handling dust and chemicals, standing, climbing ladders and stairs, working outdoors, and performing precision type work. Familiarity with safety and physical endurance is essential.
