Base Pay Range

$26.00/hr - $51.00/hr

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job‑related responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (e.g., security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
  • Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability; identifies and resolves issues promptly to minimize downtimes.
  • Provides technical support and training to end users; addresses customer inquiries professionally.
  • Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and maintains accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to understand needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Leads and participates in teams, coordinating work assignments and modeling change adaptation.
  • Develops and implements processes and practices to meet business needs, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics, supporting correction of ethical and compliance issues.

Technician Physical Activities
  • Communicates effectively in person or by using telecommunications equipment.
  • Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
  • Moves up and down a ladder, stairs, and lifts, carries up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Safely operates a motor vehicle and large power equipment, sits for long periods of time, squats, kneels, or crawls for extended periods.
  • Visually inspects equipment, locates merchandise, and creates documents and reports.
Travel
  • Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work‑sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.
  • Works or trains at multiple facilities or distant locations.
  • Travel of extended duration (seven days or more) is not required, except for management training or emergency situations.
Work Environment
  • Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training or certification in low voltage systems.
  • BICSI Installer Certification.
  • CompTIA certifications for networking (e.g., Network+).
  • Manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training.
  • NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
