OverviewFiber Technicians will perform customer installations, trenching, and complete service tickets. You will also carry out additional administrative duties central to our operations.
Training will be provided and a brief safety training package is required.
Responsibilities- Install fiber and network systems for residential customers.
- Trench for fiber and run cable, using power tools and trenching equipment.
- Complete service tickets and record customer details using company software.
- Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical customers.
- Design and deploy basic home networks.
- Operate fusion splicer and complete fiber splices.
- Install and maintain ONUs, routers, switches, and streaming devices.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing and basic reporting.
- Ownership of safe work habits, able to work on ladders safely and around electrical equipment.
- Completed OSHA training on Slips, Trips, Falls, Ladder Safety, and Emergency Procedures.
- Ability to dispose of fiber waste appropriately.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Detail oriented with the willingness to take on additional assignments.
- Good judgment for safety‑related decisions.
Job type:
Full‑time, Part‑time
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: TBD
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (weekends as needed)
