Intensive Instructional Assistant

The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking an Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA) assigned to work at the Millers Run School in classrooms ranging from early childhood to middle school.

Responsibilities: The IIA will develop and interpret the individual needs of our youngest students in the early childhood classrooms and support students with special needs by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs in consultation with the grade‑level special educator and classroom teacher. The IIA will provide observable student data that meets the early childhood classroom goals or the IEP program goals of students with developmental delay and/or other special needs.

The IIA will target goal‑directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional, and independent manner.

Qualifications: Successful completion of the Para Pro assessment or an associate’s degree or higher. Background check, including fingerprinting, required upon employment.
