The Kingdom East School District is searching for a 2.0 FTE licensed Occupational Therapist(s) to work with students from preschool through the eighth grade. The Occupational Therapist would be part of high functioning IEP, 504 and EST teams in addition to PLCs whose innovative approach to inclusive OT practices coaching model in the early childhood classrooms set us apart from other school districts.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing direct occupational services, consultative occupational services, conducting evaluations, attending team meetings for IEPs, 504s and ESTs and helping to develop and implement an inclusive classroom coaching model that is aligned with Vermont’s Multi-tiered System of Supports for embedded OT strategies at the universal instruction levels. The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation and therapy services in sensory regulation, fine and gross motor skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills and school-related self-care skills.
The Occupational Therapist May provide supervision and guidance as required to any Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA).
The Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
