Pharmacist, Healthcare

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a Pharmacist opportunity to provide support to one of our client’s healthcare systems in Morristown, VT. This is a 13-week contract assignment with a strong possibility of extension — a great way to join a highly regarded healthcare organization!

Job Description:

• Location: Morristown, VT
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Shift: Days (12hrs)
• Pay Range: $70.00 - $76.00/hour

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and self-directed Pharmacist to join the inpatient pharmacy team at a reputable hospital facility. In this role, you’ll ensure the safe and effective use of medications while working closely with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care.

Less than one year of experience is required — open to candidates with as little as 6 months of hospital pharmacy experience. This is an excellent opportunity with amazing pay and a chance to grow in a supportive clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and safety.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV admixtures and unit dose packaging.
• Provide drug information and support to physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, standards, and policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care teams and contribute to clinical decisions.
• Support teaching, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Active Vermont Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain upon acceptance).
• Hospital pharmacy experience required (retail-only experience not accepted).
• Proficiency with IV admixtures, unit dose, and clinical workflows.
• Familiarity with CPSI/Evident EMR preferred.
• Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills.
