Salary: $55,000–$60,000/year

We’re seeking a Machinist Level 2 to join a precision manufacturing team in Vermont. This is a hands‑on machining role for someone who enjoys working with CNC and manual equipment, reading mechanical drawings, producing quality parts, and developing their machining skills in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

You’ll work closely with manufacturing and mechanical engineering teams to machine, inspect, and assemble precision components while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

• Operate CNC lathes and/or machining centers based on your training and experience
• Perform manual machining using mills, lathes, grinders, drills, and other equipment
• Set up machines and make basic program edits as needed
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including datums, GD&T, tolerances, and multiple views
• Measure and inspect machined components using appropriate gauges and inspection tools
• Perform basic assembly of mechanical components as required
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Identify and address quality issues during the machining process
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work with Mechanical Engineers and other manufacturing team members
• Take on additional machining and manufacturing responsibilities as needed

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of hands‑on machining experience
• Experience with CNC machinery and/or manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and drills
• Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, datums, and drawing views
• Experience measuring and inspecting machined parts
• Basic machine setup and program editing experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Positive, collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail

The role offers the opportunity to continue developing your CNC, manual machining, inspection, setup, and mechanical skills while working alongside experienced manufacturing and engineering professionals.

• Ability to regularly stand, sit, reach, and move throughout the manufacturing area
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection when necessary
