Job Description 2026 Summer Season | Keep the Camp Roaring and Ready for Adventure! Why You'll Love Working Here
You're the magic behind those "Wow, this place is awesome!" moments. Every day you'll be out there making sure everything's spotless, safe, and ready for fun – from hauling trash and checking playgrounds to fixing and tidying up whatever needs it. No need to be a pro right away – we’re here to teach you the ropes. All you need is a positive attitude, a willingness to jump in, and pride in keeping the campground running like a well‑oiled machine.
If you love fresh air, staying busy, and making people's getaways unforgettable, this is your spot.
- Empty bins around campground, bathrooms, the office, and public spaces
- Replace liners and keep lids secure (critters don't need a buffet)
- Daily walk‑throughs to scoop up sneaky bottle caps, wrappers, zip ties, etc.
- Goal: make the place look like no one's ever littered, ever.
- Check equipment for loose parts, sharp edges, etc.
- Pull weeds, wipe things down, and keep it kid‑ready
- Assist with light maintenance: carpentry, painting, landscaping, whatever's needed
- Help with bigger projects (learning as you go!)
- Deliver firewood like a campsite Santa
- Pump propane (safely – we’ll show you how)
- Smile, wave, and help campers when they have questions
- Like working outdoors and moving all day
- Are upbeat, helpful, and don't mind getting your hands dirty
- Can keep a positive attitude even when it's hot, dusty, or a little chaotic
- Can handle weekends & holidays – our busiest (and most fun) times
- Have a great work ethic, show up on time, and get things done
- Pay attention to the little things (e.g., a loose bolt or a crooked sign)
- Are cool with learning on the job – we’ll teach you lots
- Can work alone or with a team and be cool either way
- Deliver excellent guest service by engaging and demonstrating a positive and friendly interaction with guests and team members throughout all areas of the campground
- Promote the KOA system by referring guests to other KOA sites along their journey
- Manage and maintain the standards and cleanliness of the campground's physical grounds to meet the needs of the guests and comply with the annual Quality Review process
- Lifting up to 50 lbs (we won't make you carry an RV)
- Bending, climbing, crouching, and standing for long periods
- Working in all kinds of weather – sun, wind, and everything in between
- Using tools and light equipment (sometimes loud, always fun)
- Know a little about fixing stuff (plumbing, electric, landscaping, etc.)
- Are handy with a leaf blower, shovel, or paintbrush
- Are tech‑comfortable (radios, phone, apps, etc.)
- Can make a guest smile just by being friendly
- A crew that works hard, jokes harder, and still gets stuff done
- Days so busy you’ll forget what time is
- Memories, weird tan lines, and that satisfying "I crushed it" feeling
- Free laundry – because smelling like campfire is optional
- A free campsite – your very own slice of paradise with killer views
- And the ultimate brag: "Yep, I kept this campground awesome."
If you're reliable, outdoorsy, friendly, and ready to learn – apply today! This isn't your average job. It's hands‑on, full‑speed, and totally rewarding
