As the Receptionist, you set the tone for every guest’s stay. You’ll welcome campers, handle reservations, answer questions, and keep the camp store and office organized and looking its best. You’ll be the one guests turn to when they need information, supplies, or just a friendly hello.
We’ll provide training on our systems and processes, so all you need is a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. If you take pride in great customer service, enjoy staying busy, and like helping people feel at home, this could be the perfect fit.
Responsibilities- Front Desk & Reservations:
Greet guests, check them in/out, and assist with reservations - Answer phones, emails, and radios in a clear, professional manner
- Provide directions, campground details, and recommendations
- Camp Store & Sales:
Process sales for firewood, ice, snacks, and souvenirs - Restock shelves and keep displays orderly
- Accurately handle cash and card transactions
- Clean & Organized Spaces:
Keep the office and store tidy and welcoming - Clean counters, windows, walls, and doors as needed
- Sweep, mop, and maintain store and office floors
- Monitor and restock supplies
- Guest Support:
Provide information about the local area and other KOAs - Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth campground operations
- Enjoy working with people and delivering excellent customer service
- Can stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Are comfortable handling multiple tasks at once
- Don’t mind working weekends and holidays (our busiest times)
- Have a great work ethic, show up on time, and get things done
- Value both independent work and team collaboration
- Ability to use computers, phones, and point-of-sale systems (training provided)
- Comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions
- Able to sit, stand, and move between office and store areas throughout a shift
- Capable of cleaning duties (windows, floors, counters, walls, etc.)
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality
- Familiarity with reservation or point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods
- A supportive team that values hard work and good humor
