Overview

Join as a Pharmacy / Certified Technician at Smith's Food & Drug Centers, a proud member of The Kroger Company. We serve communities across Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.

• Provide exceptional customer service and inter‑professional support in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing drugs, performing prescription reviews, post‑fill audits, and CLIA‑waived screenings.
• Compound medications and prepare patient records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing procedures.
• Support non‑dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Enroll in ongoing training, mentor clerks/technicians, and reinforce sanitation and safety protocols.
• Report all illegal activities and comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.
• Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license per state requirements.
• Can assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except tasks needing professional judgment.
• Can provide accurate and efficient customer experience and data handling.

• Prior comparable pharmacy technician experience.
• Support for company health and wellness initiatives.
• Experience with medication compounding and post‑fill audits.
• Ability to support non‑dispensing services through multiple platforms.
• Experience with CLIA‑waived screenings.
• Strong commitment to sanitation, safety, and reporting procedures.
