Overview
Join as a Pharmacy / Certified Technician at Smith's Food & Drug Centers, a proud member of The Kroger Company. We serve communities across Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and inter‑professional support in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing drugs, performing prescription reviews, post‑fill audits, and CLIA‑waived screenings.
- Compound medications and prepare patient records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing procedures.
- Support non‑dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
- Enroll in ongoing training, mentor clerks/technicians, and reinforce sanitation and safety protocols.
- Report all illegal activities and comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license per state requirements.
- Can assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except tasks needing professional judgment.
- Can provide accurate and efficient customer experience and data handling.
- Prior comparable pharmacy technician experience.
- Support for company health and wellness initiatives.
- Experience with medication compounding and post‑fill audits.
- Ability to support non‑dispensing services through multiple platforms.
- Experience with CLIA‑waived screenings.
- Strong commitment to sanitation, safety, and reporting procedures.
