, a nationally recognized leader in underground utilities and technology solutions, is seeking a dedicated HDD Operator to join our team. This pivotal role is based in Wasatch Front, UT and requires heavy travel to various project sites for extended periods of time. BHI will not cover relocation costs for this position. As an experienced HDD Operator we offer competitive pay at $25.00 – $39.00 per hour (depending on experience).

Additionally, this role offers project‑specific Per Diem. BHI provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with match, and paid time off (PTO).

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an HDD Operator.
• Extensive knowledge of HDD techniques, ground conditions, and utility‑locating principles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prepared to travel extensively for extended periods of time.
• Self‑driven, organized, safety‑conscious, thorough, and able to think analytically for problem resolution.

• Operate HDD equipment safely and accurately, using the locating system to guide the drill bit, track its progress, and ensure precise bore‑path execution.
• Perform necessary tooling changes for various ground conditions; conduct pre‑operational checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Conduct utility pot‑holing to safely expose and verify the location of underground utilities before drilling operations.
• Assist the Foreman with planning and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to drilling operations, excavation, and utility work.
