Position Overview

Loenbro Industrial Services Group is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians for a project located in Vernal, UT.

Journeyman Electricians will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. Loenbro Instrumentation & Electrical is looking for a Journeyman Electrician. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative‑taker mentality, and who have experience in a heavy industrial environment.

Job Duties
  • Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Up‑dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.
  • Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one‑line drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall job site installations.
  • Work with and train apprentices on the job.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical system.
  • Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
  • You must be reliable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre‑employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day.
  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1–50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.
