Hours:

Flexible and accommodating. On Call: 24‑hour coverage, with 48‑hour weekend coverage. Expect 3-5 call shifts per month.

• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License – Current, Provisional
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory

As an OBGYN joining our cohesive team in beautiful Vernon, you will support the community with on‑call consultative Obstetrics—including twin pregnancies and complex obstetrics—and provide on‑call Gynecology services. You may also have home calls and enjoy generous operating room time with 2‑3 OR days each month. Your clinic commitment typically ranges from 1 to 4 days a week. You will collaborate closely with GP and midwifery partners, and provide care for infertility, urogynecology, vaginal surgery, and complex laparoscopic cases.

The Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) is a 196‑bed facility offering emergency care, surgery, critical care, maternity, newborn care, mental health services, laboratory services, and rehabilitation. VJH serves a catchment of 86,000 people and is only a 30‑minute drive from Kelowna airport.

Compensation Type:
Fee‑for‑Service. Estimated Annual Gross: $400,000 (fee‑for‑service structure and MOCAP level
1). Physician Overhead: $4,000 – $7,000 per month, depending on office selection and setup.

Relocation Funding:

• $9,000 for moves within BC
• $12,000 for moves within Canada
• $15,000 for moves from outside Canada (subject to change; rates confirmed at time of offer)
