Okanagan Waldorf School is in search of a creative K-8 Handwork/Visual Arts Teacher for the 2026/27 school year. In this role, you will encourage personal growth and inquiry among a diverse student body. Experience in private school environments, teaching knitting, crocheting, and painting is preferred alongside a Waldorf or BC Teaching Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging art instruction focused on handwork disciplines

• Organize and plan for festivals and school events

• Maintain student progress reports and engage with parents

• Participate in department and faculty meetings

• Cultivate respect and community in the classroom

Requirements:

• Proven experience in teaching handwork and visual arts

• Eligibility for BC Teachers certification

• Must have a Clear Criminal Record

• Desire to work in a rural and natural environment

• Enthusiasm for children's artistic growth
