Join as an Okanagan Language Instructor, teaching young learners K5 to G7 the nsyilxwcən language and cultural traditions. Engage students and staff while nurturing a sense of identity through cultural education.

In this role, you will develop an enriching language and cultural curriculum that supports fluency in nsyilxwcən. Your leadership will guide a team of language assistants as you facilitate classroom instruction and enrich learning with cultural knowledge. Create an inviting atmosphere that acknowledges and respects Okanagan traditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead language instruction for students and staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nsyilxwcən language or equivalent

• Experience with language immersion strategies

• Familiarity with Okanagan cultural practices

• Previous teaching or mentoring experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication
