Position: Certified Early Childhood Educator Role BC
Join St. James School as a full-time Certified Early Childhood Educator in Vernon, BC. This position is ideal for those enthusiastic about early childhood education and community involvement.

We invite applications for this 36-hour per week role in our Early Learning Centre, starting September 1, 2026. Candidates must have a valid Early Childhood Educator license, a First Aid certificate, and pass a Criminal Record Check. Preference is given to those committed to the Catholic faith and collaborative educational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute engaging learning activities

• Cultivate trusting relationships among students and staff

• Ensure a safe and welcoming classroom environment

• Provide effective supervision across age groups

• Collaborate with team members to enhance curricula

Requirements:

• Valid Early Childhood Educator license is mandatory

• First Aid certification required for application

• Dedication to Catholic educational philosophy preferred

• Strong organizational skills are essential

• High level of enthusiasm for working with children
