Position: Vice Principal for School District 22

In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee both elementary and secondary educational initiatives across Vernon, Coldstream, Lavington, Lumby, and Cherryville. Your commitment to truth and reconciliation, alongside your comprehensive understanding of instructional practices, will foster an inclusive environment for all learners. By effectively managing programs and administrative tasks, you will guide teachers, students, and parents in achieving strategic educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective instructional practices across all schools

• Lead initiatives focused on student success and community engagement

• Foster inclusive learning environments for diverse student populations

• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and the community

• Manage critical incidents and challenges with strong leadership

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in education required

• BC teaching certificate or eligibility for certification

• Minimum five years exemplary teaching experience

• Experience leading educational programs at school or district level

• Proven ability to incorporate Indigenous education in curricula
