District Vice Principal of Inclusion

Take on a vital leadership role at SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 22 in Vernon, BC as the District Vice Principal focused on Inclusion. Amplify educational outcomes for Indigenous children and youth in care.

In this full-time, exempt position, you will leverage your Master's Degree in Special Education and significant teaching experience to lead inclusive education initiatives. Your expertise in individualized education planning and behavioral interventions will be crucial as you advocate for learners with diverse abilities. Reporting to the Director of Instruction, your responsibilities include strategic compliance and fostering collaborations for equitable access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to Inclusive Education initiatives

• Ensure compliance with educational policies and procedures

• Mentor staff on implementation of interventions

• Address crisis situations as needed

• Liaise with community organizations for special services

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Special Education or equivalent

• Five-plus years of exemplary teaching experience

• Proven experience as a Principal or Vice-Principal

• Deep understanding of Inclusive Education practices

• Valid BC Driver's License
